Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, hosted community leaders, elected officials and other key stakeholders for a presentation and tour yesterday at Glacier Ridge Landfill. Attendees learned about the progress made since March 2014, when the company began a large-scale waste relocation project in conjunction with a landfill expansion effort, which is now moving into its third phase.

The idea of the project began a decade ago and was part of a Holistic Agreement negotiated between the landfill and the State of Wisconsin during the expansion project being pursued at that time.
