Advanced Disposal Receives Two Grants from Pennsylvania to Convert Trucks To CNG
Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, is one of 25 companies and organizations to be recently awarded grants from the state of Pennsylvania to convert fleet vehicles to run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by Governor Corbett.
The Governor awarded $7.7 million as a part of Act 13 to assist the 25 companies in making the switch to natural gas for their heavy-duty fleet vehicles. Act 13 is expected to grow jobs as well as promote clean air.

CNG is an alternative fuel used for internal combustion engines. It generates low hydrocarbon emissions and is considered a clean energy. In the U.S. alone, NGVs (Natural Gas Vehicles) offset the use of about 400 million gallons of gasoline in 2013 according to the NGV America (Natural Gas Vehicles for America) website.
