Advanced Disposal will also be increasing heavy bulk waste pickup to twice per year in April and October. Dates for bulk items collection are to be determined, and the schedule will be communicated appropriately. All waste will be disposed of in a properly permitted Class C landfill owned and operated by Shelby County. No-pickup holidays are New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
